The Chora Mosque has a layered past running from the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) period through the Ottoman era to the Republic, five main architectural units, and mosaics and frescoes that tell a separate story in every section. This dense, interconnected knowledge had to be gathered in a single site without tiring the visitor or pushing the monument's visual richness into the background.

We structured the content around the monument itself: a history divided into periods, an interactive architectural guide that marks sections A to H on the floor plan, dedicated mosaic pages for the Outer Narthex, Inner Narthex, Naos and Parekklesion, the surrounding district, and a vertically scrolling photo gallery. The scene descriptions and the gallery run on Webflow CMS, so content can be updated without touching the design.

The Chora Mosque became a comprehensive digital guide that visitors explore at their own pace, from its history to every section on the plan and each individual scene. A dark canvas, large imagery and measured animation let the mosaics speak for themselves.
